There are regular weekly and monthly Dharma (Buddhist teachings) events as well as special events throughout the year. A number of other groups also meet for discussion and meditation.
KSD Glasgow also provide soup and sandwiches for the Glasgow Soup Kitchen (which is co-ordinated by the Simon Community) at least one and up to 3 nights each week as well as offering other charitable groups use of the semi-professional kitchen.
There is a tearoom and a shop which stocks a wide range of items direct from Nepal and India e.g. hand-made cards, massage oils, books, teaching tapes, meditation cushions and much, much more and a library, which is free on registration.
Rooms for rent – 6 rooms (various sizes) available, which can accommodate, meetings, talks, one-to-one therapy sessions, yoga classes etc. A variety of groups, holistic therapists, teachers, schools currently use KSD Glasgow e.g. Outlet Self-help Group, Order of the Cross, Woodlands Community, Yoga, Chi Gong, Aromatherapy, Massage, Sacred Sound, Glasgow School of Shiatsu, Holistic Birth and Sekhem Workshops.
KSD Glasgow also organise a number of fundraising events throughout the year... such as a ceilidh, festival of music, gourmet food evening, jumble sale or art exhibition. New ideas and help always welcome...
Everything that happens at KSD Glasgow is due entirely to the efforts of volunteer staff. If you have any spare time and would like to become involved please register your interest.
So whether you are looking to join in events/ activities, hire venue space, do some voluntary/ fundraising work... it’s all happening at KSD Glasgow.
