Following the earlier post about Glasgow's choirs, take a look at the Glasgow Lyric Choir ... a fabulous opportunity to sign the beautiful Mozart's Requiem!
Join Glasgow Lyric Choir singing Mozart's Requiem on 13th February 2010 at Wellington Church- the new home of the Glasgow Lyric Choir.
Registration will start at 2pm with a rehearsal from 2.30-5.30pm. The concert is at 6.30pm. For more information, visit the Glasgow Lyric Choir website.
The University of Glasgow is also holding a one-day event: Getting More Out of Choral Singing on April 24th, 2010. (10am-4pm). Get beyond the notes of many of the choral favourites. Take a closer look at vocal production, rhythm, pulse and connecting with the conductor and the audience. (see page 16 of the pdf)
The Choral Society of the University of Glasgow welcomes new members. It is not necessary to be a student or part of the Music Department: membership is open to anyone connected with the University, and others by arrangement. There are no auditions. Simply come along to the University Concert Hall on Thursday evening, 5.15pm – 7.00pm.
